I'm on someone else's Macbook Pro typing out this blog entry. I've gotta say, it's actually really good, the keyboard has a nice feel, it's got a backlight (!), and most of all the entire system is quite responsive, it's even faster than that 'desktop' I have at home. Not to mention the battery life far exceeds that of the school netbook by a long shot. Mousepad is also multi-touch, fancy that.
On day when I get a sizable allowance ($2000) I'm gonna build my own computer from base components. It doesn't seem to be such and involved process anymore for some reason, maybe just a few hours, even without an anti-static strap :O
Does anyone know why the netbook batteries run dry so fast? Acrobat actually seems to be a culprit, along with IE and FF.
Before I start this post proper: CONGRATS TO JM! For making Summer School, what a tank :D To put it into perspective, it's a somewhat difficult 2 hour test and less than 100 (?) people from the 3 subjects combined make the actual School. So congrats again.
Also, sorry for interrupting your commerce speech, but then again I guess people were waiting. The food tech classes had it worse though: they weren't let out until after we finished packing up the sports selections :O
Begin. Friday the 28th (definitely wasn't going to put 13th). Most people who don't remember previous year lengths (like me) merely thought that it was only going to last 2 periods and a bit. Instead, a whole 4 periods. Their lineup performance was alright, the 'If you know it clap your hands' was probably a bit mindf* for most, while the final grade-wide thing was pretty good, considering the person who designed the dance was spamming everyone to practice -_-'
So we were meant to have commerce revision and possible merits for helping out, but Broccoli-teacher was busy talking to year 12s, etc etc. A couple of minutes later and I've hugged about 7 different year 12s. It seemed appropriate, since everyones embracing everyone else. Heck, one of them was crying on me for a while o.O
And then a surprise: I see the face of a towering, tank (in all meanings of the word) GH-playing uni student :D Nice seeing someone you have met for a while.
The rest is just plain boring, which also includes trying to find Perms & Coms in the y11 textbook and thinking "wth, if it isn't here why were the year 11s raging about it"
It's 2.07AM (yes, it actually says AM), and I'm nowhere close to going to sleep (see above), so I'll just leave this post turning-into diary entry lookalike for now... and people don't exactly have good clear thought processes at such a late hour, where melatonin would at this point be increasing my height -o-zzzzzz
Random fact #137-1 :Did you know that the japanese keyboard on iPhones comes with a full (upwards of 50) typeface emoticons? It includes common ones such as :) or \(^o^)/ as well as harder ones such as the really sparkly one you see in some people's statuses.
Also, is anyone interested in doing some medium-long distance jogs with me? By that I mean between 5-10 km (that's enough for improving aerobic capabilities), with a arbitrary part of the course loop passing within 1km of school. It'll be good for whoever signs up for this sort of thing. On that note, I hear there is Saturday runfit, but that's more for tanks who know Dennett well, so.
^Basically, anyone who's interested in nice long 'jogs' should give a shout out!
GUD NACHT, UND AUF WEIDERSEHEN Year 12! :D
