PARTIAL SUCCESS! =D
It's weird how I only remember the last 6 or so days in actual detail and the rest is basically compressed into a sort of chapter summary. Fresh out of the Yearlies... wait it is week 2 right? Now that the yearlies are over, I feel lethargic towards more or less every subject (besides maths, cannot afford to get less that 90 anymore), and that leads me to state that this is the last 'large break' in studies (no one's actually going to study for SC right) right until end of HSC/schoolies D:
The only thing that I remember from last week aside from foot pain (darn you ice skating) is that basically Aziz somehow managed to make Ms Jenkins talk about the formal during Commerce (even without Filewood our class is...), so now she has roughly 4 years worth of gossip. Also, DOMS for a full three days after running barely half an hour -_-
Does anyone remember how Science teaching in junior grades was really dodgy etc? And how they taught faulty concepts (conservation of mass or energy anyone) which we know to be incorrect but were expected to apply in exams?
Well for anyone doing physics/chem next year (so, quite a lot), Einstein basically destroyed the old paradigm with relativity with mass-energy equivalence and relativistic mass and time (the higher the velocity, the more massive something is), and valency is basically a joke which is completely destroyed by oxidation states in year 11 chemistry. Maybe I should make one of those educational blog/websites with somewhat specific audiences. Which reminds me of how airplanes actually work, and how it doesn't explain upside-down flight.
Actually, there were double rainbows last Friday, which is basically what I'm visualising right now. Oh and here are assorted yearly marks for comparison:
Maths: 77/84 --> 91%
Science: 90/100 (nuu same as Daniel Hwang/highest in class)
English UNSW: Credit --> 41/60
Wordpress vs Blogger vs Moveable Type for making blogs/websites?
NaNoWriMo: I have no idea yet, but I'm pretty sure I can get somewhere near 50k if I tried: someone pointed out a very nifty site last year, which tries to use the concept of negative reinforcement to make you type more, faster, which is over here and called Write or Die. Use kamikazi mode on evil difficulty for best results (I mean, everyone can type >50WPM right?)
NOTICE: Runfit is now on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons (2:30-4:00). On that note, Drama Night is on the same day as well, so this Wednesday you could get fit, get tired, then enjoy the show :)
/me is going to Spring Fling and possibly Drama Night: see you all there.
In hindsight this post looks kinda grey, lame, boring, unstructured etc, but I guess that kinda happens when you try to write a lot in a short time
Word count: 468
write or die didn't work for me
ReplyDeleteWow, nice work with the yearlies!
ReplyDeleteIn younger grades I studied mostly from science focus, which worked pretty well, I guess.
